How: slower than you thought it would be but surely
With whom: I believe it's "to cross" not "let's", somethings you have to learn how to do on your own but those that truly love you will always be there cheering you on, pushing your back a little and giving you water and trail mix along the way.
What happens when YOU get there: the possibilities are endless because YOU DID IT!!
Promise me you'll tell me who you are... although... I have a pretty good guess. ;-)
